Joydrop was born during a difficult season when I was navigating a layoff and unexpectedly found comfort in watching small acts of kindness between people around me.

I remember wishing there were a way to capture and recognize those fleeting moments for myself and for others who might need that same reminder of good.

What strengthened my conviction in Joydrop was realizing how easily negativity and even bullying stick on social platforms, while positive interactions quickly disappear. I’ve always cared deeply about people and naturally notice the quiet joy and everyday gratitude that often goes unseen and I felt called to do something about it.

I couldn’t stop wondering what would happen if recognition were just as visible and lasting. I chose to build Joydrop to help normalize celebrating people simply for being who they are, and to give the good in our everyday lives a place to live on.
